Review the most common details below. Your exact route and vehicle may require additional planning.
How long does vehicle shipping take?+
Most coast-to-coast routes take 7–10 days in transit. Shorter routes may take 2–5 days. Your coordinator will provide a route-specific window.
Is my vehicle insured during transport?+
Yes. Every carrier we work with is required to maintain active cargo insurance. We verify coverage before dispatch.
Can I put personal items in my car?+
Carriers typically allow up to 100 lbs of personal belongings in the trunk, though these items are not covered by cargo insurance.
How far in advance should I book?+
Booking 1–2 weeks ahead gives you the best flexibility. Expedited pickup may also be available for tighter schedules.
What information is needed for an estimate?+
We need the pickup and delivery cities or ZIP codes, vehicle year, make and model, operating condition, transport preference and approximate pickup date.
What is door-to-door vehicle shipping?+
The carrier picks up and delivers as close to your requested addresses as safely and legally possible. Large trucks may need a nearby open parking area.
How is my vehicle inspected?+
You and the driver review its condition at pickup and delivery. Existing marks and mileage are recorded on the Bill of Lading, and photographs are strongly recommended.
Can you transport a non-running vehicle?+
Yes, when disclosed in advance. The vehicle must usually roll, steer and brake, and the carrier may require a winch or other loading equipment.
What affects the shipping price?+
Route distance, vehicle size and condition, open or enclosed transport, fuel and seasonal demand, and pickup flexibility all influence the final rate.
Can pickup and delivery dates change?+
Traffic, weather, mechanical issues and customer scheduling can affect timing. Your coordinator and carrier provide updates as the delivery window becomes clearer.
